About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage, develop and motivate Sales Consultants
  • Develop improvement or growth goals for each Sales Consultant and monitor progress
  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly and annual feedback to direct reports
  • Educate sales staff to build or improve product knowledge and sales skills
  • Establish monthly contact schedules with Sales Consultants, including a minimum of seven full-day work-withs
  • Provide tools and materials necessary for Sales Consultants to complete assignments
  • Develop and implement creative selling ideas within the team
  • Identify and assist in training a potential replacement
  • Conduct weekly group and individual meetings
  • Participate in development and preparation of divisional meetings and presentations
  • Implement sales plans and achieve company and/or supplier goals
  • Review sales versus goal progress and address issues immediately
  • Assist in developing brand sales programs
  • Monitor, develop and maintain account relationships
  • Direct Sales Consultants to recognize new account openings and opportunities
  • Work with the sales group to identify and communicate competitive market activity
  • Enforce organized master route schedules to ensure frequent and consistent account contact
  • Develop opportunity-account lists with the sales team
  • Build key-account business and relationships in the team’s area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and/or prior management experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all functional areas and organizational levels
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Execution oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Applications, Branches, Easy Bev
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Safe working and driving habits
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and MVR
