About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage an established sales territory, including selling, servicing, merchandising, administration, and accounts receivable
- Achieve sales objectives and manage the territory
- Sell current and new products and promotions
- Conduct in-store tastings and service accounts
- Execute merchandising activities, including shelf placement, maintaining cold boxes, building displays, and stocking inventories
- Ensure consistent customer contact and execute sales initiatives
- Handle customer issues promptly and courteously
- Make sales presentations and grow business
- Identify and nurture new accounts
- Use point-of-sale materials to enhance selling efforts
- Perform inventory checks and communicate to minimize order mistakes
- Rotate products on shelves, cold boxes, and displays
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Handle paperwork accurately and promptly
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS college degree or related industry experience
- Prior route sales experience highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Goals and results driven
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Local candidates preferred; no relocation package
