About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead procurement sourcing activities focused on Construction, Engineering, Facilities and Energy categories
  • Partner with stakeholders to influence cost allocation, spend and supplier management
  • Reduce Goods Not For Resale expenditure and mitigate third-party risk
  • Deliver best-value procurement through sourcing and negotiation expertise
  • Conduct source-to-contract activities alongside Finance, Legal and Procurement teams
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms
  • Lead or support end-to-end tender activities
  • Facilitate stakeholder and supplier meetings
  • Analyse data with stakeholders to identify and implement improvement opportunities
  • Develop and execute strategic category plans
  • Provide robust challenges throughout the cost cycle to deliver commercial benefits

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant commercial experience in a Procurement function or suitable equivalent
  • Skilled in sourcing and negotiation
  • Good understanding of procurement processes and systems
  • Category planning and sourcing strategy experience
  • Supplier management experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and relationship-building track record
  • Ability to analyse data sets such as baseline spend and tender responses
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts
  • MCIPS qualified or working towards (desirable)
  • Deep understanding of Procurement strategy and policy (desirable)
  • Relevant procurement experience in Property (desirable)
