About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead procurement sourcing activities focused on Construction, Engineering, Facilities and Energy categories
- Partner with stakeholders to influence cost allocation, spend and supplier management
- Reduce Goods Not For Resale expenditure and mitigate third-party risk
- Deliver best-value procurement through sourcing and negotiation expertise
- Conduct source-to-contract activities alongside Finance, Legal and Procurement teams
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms
- Lead or support end-to-end tender activities
- Facilitate stakeholder and supplier meetings
- Analyse data with stakeholders to identify and implement improvement opportunities
- Develop and execute strategic category plans
- Provide robust challenges throughout the cost cycle to deliver commercial benefits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant commercial experience in a Procurement function or suitable equivalent
- Skilled in sourcing and negotiation
- Good understanding of procurement processes and systems
- Category planning and sourcing strategy experience
- Supplier management experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills and relationship-building track record
- Ability to analyse data sets such as baseline spend and tender responses
- Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts
- MCIPS qualified or working towards (desirable)
- Deep understanding of Procurement strategy and policy (desirable)
- Relevant procurement experience in Property (desirable)
