About the role
- Perform analysis and data reviews to assist management in establishing and controlling budgets
- Setting financial goals, making projections, and meeting fiscal objectives
- Performs financial activities in support of various functions, e.g., budgeting, financial planning
- Revenue and expenditure monitoring against budget, reconciliations and changes, and consolidation
- Extracts financial data from various accounting and information systems and generates reports
- Performs basic to moderately complex statistical cost and financial analysis of reports and data and prepares reports for management to improve financial performance and compliance
- Provide interpretation of accounts, methods, and records for management
- Conduct studies of cost and financial results of business activities; recommend adjustments and other cost improvement measures
- Review costs and perform cost benefit analysis for projects and/or programs
- Produce financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis
- Provide reports, findings, and recommendations to management
- Assist with preparation of special studies, reports, and analyses
- Recommend budget adjustments and other cost improvement measures
- Recommend quality control and process improvements regarding the overall business process
- Review and assist with analysis of capital expenditures proposals, profit plans, operating records and financial statements
- Make recommendations for resolving funding shortfalls
- Oversee simple to moderately complex budget accounts
- Keep abreast and apply a working knowledge of laws and regulations that impact compliance
- Use various software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages to assemble, manipulate and format data
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
- Three years of progressively responsible related financial experience
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent
