About the role
- Pre- and post-operative preparation of the operating room
- Support/float duties
- Instrument handling during minor and complex surgical procedures
- Adherence to specialized sterile/hygienic working practices
- Handling of medical technology and equipment
- Professional care and accompaniment of patients
- Deployment locations in our hospital include the operating department with endoscopy/bronchoscopy and recovery room, the central sterilization unit, a nursing ward, and the outpatient clinic
- Assignments in external hospitals provide an extended insight into surgical specialties
Requirements
- Secondary school leaving certificate (intermediate or basic level)
- Completed vocational training (at least 2 years) or completed assistant/auxiliary nursing training (at least 1 year)
- Interest in medical knowledge
- Enjoyment in working with modern technology
- Organizational skills
- Teamwork skills
- Empathy and communication skills
- Sense of responsibility
- Experience using a PC
- Medical/physical fitness for the role
