Assisting in the maintenance of Bureau audit documentation to ensure timely response to internal and external audit requests and retention of prior audit reports related to federal claiming of Federal Financial Participation (FFP)
Producing quarterly and ad hoc reports of quarterly federal claiming of FFP data for leadership
Directing management studies of organizational and federal claiming procedures
Maintaining repository of Department policy and state and federal regulations for the Bureau
Following up on staff assignments on Medicaid claiming analysis projects related to the agency’s Cost Allocation Plan, new/revised State and Federal legislation, and proposed changes in agency policy
Retaining documentation for programmatic responses to inquiries from the legislature and special interest groups relating to the Department's Medicaid federal reporting and FFP
Performing other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Requirements
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration
Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program
One (1) year of experience with federal claiming and expenditure reporting preferred
One (1) year of experience with accounting, finance, or management information systems preferred
Working knowledge of Medicaid policies and procedures preferred
Three (3) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel to create complex spreadsheets and information tables preferred
Three (3) years of experience analyzing data to evaluate and solve complex administrative, organizational, technical, or operational problems preferred
