Under general supervision, serves as a Federal Programs Analyst for the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS), Division of Finance, Bureau of Federal Finance by analyzing, interpreting, and communicating new and updated agency programs to ensure necessary business requirements are received and implemented to meet federal deadlines
Provides analysis and support in the development of policies, procedures, and management reports impacting the Federal Financial Participation (FFP) process flow for reporting expenditures, budgeting grant funding, and reconciliation with funds drawn
Develops and updates quarterly and ad hoc expenditure reports to assist in the intergovernmental coordination of federal claiming participation efforts
Reviews and analyzes federal claiming process flows and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) audits and disallowances pertaining to HFS federal programs for accuracy, and programmatic and financial findings
Provides technical assistance for special projects relating to the FFP processes
Requirements
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college; supplemented by a master’s degree in business or public administration, with coursework in areas such as economic theory, accounting and finance, organizational theory, and operations research
Requires one (1) year progressively responsible professional experience in management operations analysis or completion of an approved training program
