About the role
- Serves as the Statewide Processing Center Administrator for the Division of Family and Community Services.
- Assists in the Division’s administration of providing services to individuals through a statewide call center.
- Plans, assigns, coordinates, and evaluates through subordinate supervisors the activities of the Statewide Processing Centers.
- Serves as full-line supervisor.
- Prepares, reviews, and analyzes reports regarding Statewide Processing Center activity, quality, and productivity.
- Travels to represent the Division as spokesperson at local, state, and national organizations and task forces giving presentations, interpreting, and explaining Department of Human Services (DHS) initiatives and interpreting program policy and mandates.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requirements
- Requires skill, knowledge, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with courses in a social or human services field.
- Requires prior experience equivalent to four (4) years progressively responsible administrative experience working with public assistance service programs for a health or human services organization.
- Preferred Qualifications: Five (5) years of professional supervisory experience in supervising staff, assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements, training staff and approving time off.
- Preferred Qualifications: Five (5) years of professional experience analyzing current public assistance service delivery systems, recommending approaches and implementing change.
- Preferred Qualifications: Five (5) years of professional experience interpreting, providing guidance, developing, and implementing public assistance program policy, procedures, and processes.
- Preferred Qualifications: Four (4) years of professional experience in a public assistance eligibility system, such as Integrated Eligibility System.
- Preferred Qualifications: Four (4) years of professional experience utilizing a Statewide phone system to deliver services.
- Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) years of professional case work experience in a social services agency utilizing social casework methods, techniques and principles, including reviewing and evaluating casework activities.
