About the role
- Coordinates with functional and technical staff to support and maintain all human resources applications
- Conducts special projects and research of department and Bureau of Personnel Management (BPM) operational procedures and personnel administration programs
- Manages all permissions for human resources applications to include Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT)-owned System Application and Products (SAP)
- Ensures that automated personnel administration programs are consistent with departmental policies and sufficient to meet departmental personnel administration needs
- Assists users with application-related issues and submits information technology support requests
- Prepares, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools
Requirements
- Completion of a bachelor's degree majoring in business management, public administration, human resources, project management, or a related field PLUS two years of experience working with human resources applications, web applications, end user support, project management related to data and reporting, or a combination thereof
- OR eight years of experience working with human resources applications, web applications, end user support, project management related to data and reporting, or a combination thereof
- Strong oral communication skills with the ability to train users on the use of human resources automated solutions or applications
- Experience analyzing operating procedures and policies to automate processes
- Experience extracting and interpreting data to create reports
- Ability to organize and handle multiple functions in a fast-paced environment within given time constraints
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment; ability to interact with employees in a professional manner and maintain professional and harmonious relationships.
