About the role

  • Coordinates with functional and technical staff to support and maintain all human resources applications
  • Conducts special projects and research of department and Bureau of Personnel Management (BPM) operational procedures and personnel administration programs
  • Manages all permissions for human resources applications to include Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT)-owned System Application and Products (SAP)
  • Ensures that automated personnel administration programs are consistent with departmental policies and sufficient to meet departmental personnel administration needs
  • Assists users with application-related issues and submits information technology support requests
  • Prepares, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools

Requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree majoring in business management, public administration, human resources, project management, or a related field PLUS two years of experience working with human resources applications, web applications, end user support, project management related to data and reporting, or a combination thereof
  • OR eight years of experience working with human resources applications, web applications, end user support, project management related to data and reporting, or a combination thereof
  • Strong oral communication skills with the ability to train users on the use of human resources automated solutions or applications
  • Experience analyzing operating procedures and policies to automate processes
  • Experience extracting and interpreting data to create reports
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple functions in a fast-paced environment within given time constraints
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment; ability to interact with employees in a professional manner and maintain professional and harmonious relationships.
