Develop and execute test plans and validation procedures for Teradyne test equipment, ensuring product quality and system performance.
Provide systems-level insight during product development, influencing design decisions with a customer-centric perspective.
Perform root cause analysis and assist in debugging issues across mechanical and electrical domains.
Deliver technical support during product demos and customer evaluations.
Stay current with evolving technologies and advocate for innovative solutions.
Collaborate on the design and integration of automated test systems, including mechanical fixtures and electrical interfaces.
Analyze and optimize thermal, electrical, and mechanical performance of integrated systems.
Develop and maintain tools and fixtures for test automation, analysis, and diagnostics (basic scripting experience is a plus, not mandatory).
Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Ability to travel to customer sites and manufacturing facilities as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years in Systems Engineering, Test Development, or Applications Engineering
SolidWorks experience highly valued; ability to interpret and discuss mechanical designs
Familiarity with thermal management, cooling strategies, and mechanical construction methods
Strong technical vocabulary and working knowledge of mechanical components and systems (e.g., mechanisms, fluids, pneumatics, fabrication techniques)
Experience with instrumentation and automated test systems; familiarity with basic scripting (Python, C#, etc.) is a plus but not required
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as required (domestic and international)
