About the role

  • Serves as the Assistant Center Director of Operations for Ludeman Developmental Center.
  • Serves as full line supervisor.
  • Provides the Center Director with center goals, achievements, operations and needs progress reports.
  • Reviews the Support Services operational needs.
  • Maintains compliance and ongoing communications with private and public organizations, including the IDPH (Illinois Department of Public Health), CMS (Central Management Services) and other relevant entities to ensure that requests for information and responses to audits are completed on time.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college.
  • Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures for a public or business organization.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience working with audits and developing reports for a public or private organization.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience interacting with and communicating in oral and written form with internal and external stakeholders including the use of computers.
  • Four (4) years of professional supervisory experience assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending counseling and/or discipline following collective bargaining agreements, training staff, preparing, and signing performance evaluations and approving time off.
  • Four (4) years of professional and/or managerial experience in a public or private organization.
  • Requires the ability to physically restrain individuals as necessary to prevent injury to individual or others.
  • Requires the ability to serve as Administrator on Duty (AOD) after business hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
