About the role

  • Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate running of day-to-day tasks within the payroll team.
  • Processing timely, compliant, and accurate payroll for approximately 9,000 vet practice colleagues on a four-weekly basis.
  • Supporting payroll processing for Retail and Distribution Centres when required.
  • Reviewing manual calculations completed by Payroll Assistants and Payroll Co-ordinators.
  • Assisting with periodic HMRC reconciliation and review ahead of sign off by Payroll Team Lead.
  • Conducting monthly 1:1’s with Payroll Assistants and Payroll Co-ordinators.
  • Ensuring the delivery of a first-class service to colleagues across the business.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of administering payroll within an office environment is essential.
  • Excellent understanding of current payroll legislation.
  • Previous experience of using SAP payroll solution is an advantage but not essential.
  • Well organised and work to a high level of accuracy.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Trustworthy individual who can handle confidential information & adhere to GDPR legislation.
