About the role
- Serves as full-line supervisor.
- Provides direction, assistance and example on nursing treatments and procedures.
- Schedules special clinics and reviews lines for proper care and follow-up.
- Manages nursing staff documents.
- Serves as an auditor for the Internal Audit Team, an instructor for Employee Module Training and Grievance Officer.
- Acts as a liaison for outside specialty clinics, hospitals, as directed.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requirements
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college.
- Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible Registered Nursing experience.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience supervising professional staff.
- Prefers at least one (1) year working experience in a correctional setting.
- Prefers at least one (1) professional experience delivering in-service training.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience interpreting and monitoring healthcare contracts.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience making nursing schedules for a twenty-four/seven (24/7) healthcare facility.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience with problem solving patient complaints.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience maintaining a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program along with recommending and implementing improvements.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience with data collection and preparing reports.
- Prefers at least one (1) year of professional experience auditing healthcare records for accuracy and ensuring compliance with medical policies and procedures.
- Prefers Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher.
