About the role

  • Serves as Statewide Employment Recruitment Monitor.
  • Develops and manages budgetary planning and preparation regarding recruitment-related expenditures for each fiscal year.
  • Collaborates with contractual public relations firms, as well as the Office of Communications, regarding the Department’s publicity efforts to promote employment opportunities.
  • Manages and reviews event costs and planning, including the coordination of the transport and storage of supplies and equipment at large events.
  • Travels statewide to attend employee orientation sessions as a representative of the Office of Employee Services.
  • Reviews the analysis and research of potential resources and methods of enhancing public representations of the Department’s employment opportunities and other effective methods of distributing information about employment.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college.
  • Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private organization in the field of public relations, marketing, or human resources.
  • Prefers three years of professional experience utilizing analytical skills to analyze and interpret data and report on trends in a public or private organization.
  • Prefers three years of professional experience tracking and reporting key performance indicators (KPI) related to customer retention in a public or private organization.
  • Prefers three years of professional experience working in the human resources area of a public or private organization.
  • Prefers two years of professional experience using Microsoft Forms, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power Bi in a public or private organization.
  • Prefers two years of professional experience working independently and exhibiting self-motivation and a strong attention to detail in a public or private organization.
  • Prefers completion of a bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, human resource management, or business administration.
