About the role
- Develops and implements targeted behavioral interventions for students with significant behavior issues.
- Utilizes Functional Behavioral Assessments and other relevant data to develop interventions.
- Monitors student progress and conducts regular behavioral progress monitoring to support student growth.
- Conducts functional behavioral assessments and environmental and classroom assessments/checklists as needed.
- Supports the development, implementation, and documentation of behavior intervention strategies.
- Develops, evaluates, and enhances district-wide behavioral systems to promote consistency, equity, and effectiveness in behavior management.
- Engages in ongoing professional development and provides training to staff.
Requirements
- Requires current, valid certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst-D (BCBA-D) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Requires one year of professional experience in applied behavior analysis or completion of the agency-sponsored Behavior Analyst Associate program.
- Two years of experience with staff supervision and coaching preferred.
- Two years of experience with developing and implementing staff training and professional development preferred.
- Two years of evidence of exceptional skills in communication, interpersonal relationships, and conflict resolution preferred.
- Two years of experience delivering services within a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) preferred.
- Two years of experience working in a juvenile justice setting preferred.
- One year working in a setting with students with disabilities preferred.
