About the role

  • Organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the operation of property and casualty forms, rules and rate filings and the property and casualty complaint program.
  • Serves as spokesperson representing the Director, Assistant Director, and/or the Chief Deputy Director of Product Lines in work with legislative and executive branches of State government, with officials and various agencies both public and private and with program administrators of insurance departments in other states, possessing significant independent authority to bind the Department to courses of action.
  • Participates in the development and formulation of Department policy and programs by suggesting new programs, rules and laws; directs studies involving procedural and program analysis, standards development and research and program planning.
  • Serves as full line supervisor.
  • Provides oversight of the Complaints and Compliance filing platforms and generates reports as needed.
  • Directs, coordinates and implements the Division’s budget matters and requests.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with courses in insurance accounting, business administration, and statistics.
  • Requires prior experience equivalent to four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in an insurance industry.
