About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Form a key part of our growing outsourcing offering
Assist the senior management team in ensuring that our outsourced finance, VAT advisory and management reporting function meets and exceeds our client expectations
Support client decision making and enhance our outsourcing offering
Involve bookkeeping data entry preparation of management accounts to a high standard on our cloud-based systems
Work with our OMB/SME private companies on site, remotely or at our offices
Build and maintain good relationships with a wide range of clients
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the client base
Process Sales and Purchase Orders
Preparation of VAT returns for a range of clients
Reconciliation of key balance sheet control accounts
VAT administrative duties including VAT registrations, de-registrations and other HMRC communications as necessary
Review, analysis and interpretation of the management information

Requirements

What you’ll need

Possess a passion for accuracy and attention to detail
Possess excellent communication and planning skills
Demonstrate experience of working with a portfolio of clients
Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
Be solution focussed with a client centred outlook
Have experience with cloud-based accountancy packages particularly Xero, SAGE, Quickbooks and Dext, Free Agent
Demonstrate knowledge in key VAT areas including DRC, land and property, partial exemption and international transactions
Have understanding with regards to CIS
