About the role

  • Work with project teams to design and deliver client-centered, consistent and usable interfaces
  • Own the UX design aspect of a product’s development process for Samsung mobile
  • Review and analyze Samsung UX and deliver UX feedback with alternative designs to Samsung designers
  • Lead communications with North American mobile carriers and Samsung teams based in South Korea
  • Track, manage and resolve UX related issues during product lifecycle
  • Conduct design research, propose new concepts and create mockups
  • Conduct group usability studies and document results and analysis
  • Ensure UI development meets market demand, technical specifications, and carrier requirements
  • Analyze UX of competing mobile devices and market trends
  • Participate in design review sessions, acquire consensus and approvals
  • Execute business acceptance test cases and testing
  • Manage meetings, anticipate roadblocks, and keep stakeholders updated on project status

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 3+ years of industry experience or 1+ years with a master’s degree
  • Design portfolio required (provide password to portfolio)
  • UX Design & Research
  • Analytical Thinking
  • Strong Communication Skills (Presentation, Cross-functional collaboration, Conflict resolution)
  • Project Management (coordinate and handle multiple projects)
  • Proven understanding of user-centered design techniques
  • Experience applying usability testing techniques and principles
  • Experience designing Mobile applications and involvement from research to delivering design artifacts
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop; knowledge of Sketch or other prototyping tools
  • Knowledge of web client technologies (browsers, HTML, CSS)
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to multi-task, strong detail orientation, and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and strong ownership
  • Korean bilingual preferred/ability to communicate with teams in South Korea
