About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead interior design efforts on mid-to-large scale commercial interior projects, including workplace strategy integration, space planning, materiality, lighting, FF&E, and user experience.
  • Develop and present compelling design concepts, mood boards, finish palettes, and 3D visualizations to internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality, coordinated design documentation in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary interior design point of contact during project delivery, managing client expectations and resolving design-related issues proactively.
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable building codes, accessibility standards (e.g., ADA), life safety requirements, and sustainability frameworks (e.g., LEED, WELL, Fitwel).
  • Collaborate with cost consultants and procurement teams to align design intent with budget parameters and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and installation mock-ups for design fidelity and quality control.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior interior designers and coordinators.
  • Contribute to PDS design standards, best practices, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Support business development efforts through proposal contributions, interview presentations, and portfolio development.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of professional interior design experience, with a strong focus on corporate/commercial interiors and full project lifecycle delivery.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit (BIM workflow), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape/Twinmotion, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, sustainable design principles, and global workplace trends.
  • NCIDQ certification required.
  • LEED AP and/or WELL AP accreditation strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within an integrated AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) or multidisciplinary consultancy is a plus.
