About the role

  • Craft and lead execution of the technology strategy based on the technical roadmap
  • Design and develop teams and a team operating system for remote and hybrid contributors
  • Mentor and lead engineering managers and cultivate a high-performing, inclusive engineering culture
  • Refine engineering workflows and methodologies to improve productivity and product quality
  • Collaborate with product and QA teams to align product development and delivery
  • Conduct comprehensive appraisals and performance development reviews
  • Identify capacity and capability gaps and implement targeted development plans
  • Recruit and retain engineering talent to maintain talent density

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role (Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, or similar) managing teams of 30+ developers
  • Experience in product-led technology organisations, preferably B2B or SaaS
  • Strong technical background in software development
  • Expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, TypeScript, Vue
  • Interest or experience in applying AI to improve user experiences
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop diverse engineering teams, including developing other engineering managers
  • Experience creating high-performance, inclusive cultures where neurodiverse individuals can thrive
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate business goals into technical strategies and team structures
  • Enjoy hiring, interviewing and onboarding with strong talent-spotting ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience conducting appraisals, performance development reviews and implementing development plans
