About the role
- Work with our customers and partners to understand their use cases and pain points, using your findings to develop responsive solutions for the product.
- Evaluate existing subsystems to discover and prioritize opportunities for improvement based on business impact, customer value, and product vision.
- Create clear comprehensive functional design descriptions based on the collected insights in collaboration with UX and engineering teams.
- Define key metrics and monitor product adoption, user engagement, and feature impact.
- Drive the timely delivery of features, ensuring a high-quality, positive user experience.
- Maintain the product roadmap.
- Stay on top of the competitive landscape and market trends and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Work with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to help define product positioning, create launch plans, develop go-to-market strategies, and drive adoption of YouTrack.
- Champion YouTrack internally and externally by acting as a product evangelist and delivering demos or presentations at events, webinars, customer meetings, etc.
- Act as a collaborator and mentor within the product team, help set best practices for product management, share your knowledge, and raise the bar for the product.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in product management for B2B products.
- Familiarity with project management tools and frameworks.
- A strong track record of owning a product (or major product area) throughout the entire life cycle, from ideation to launch and optimization.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A data-driven mindset and the ability to get insights from usage, analytics, and user feedback and incorporate them into product decisions.
- The ability to balance technical complexity, usability, and business needs in prioritization and roadmap decisions.
- Experience in engaging with customers (user interviews and feedback sessions), building empathy with their workflows and challenges.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as the ability to present clearly to both technical and business audiences.
- Some level of written and spoken German.
- A technical background in software development.
