About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the entire SDLC, including the codebase, architecture, and operations
Maintain and evolve services in Kotlin and a little bit of Go
Ensure service reliability and performance as the platform grows
Design and implement features across identity, organization, membership, group, and workspace domains
Review and integrate pull requests from other platform teams
Manage integrations with other JCP platform components and connected applications
Support authentication components used by YouTrack, IDE Services, License Vault, Qodana, and other JetBrains products

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of JVM development experience, preferably with Kotlin
Knowledge of addressing performance problems on JVM and Postgres
Experience building and operating SaaS production services in a distributed, multi-tenant environment
Ability to navigate a modern DevOps stack: K8S, OpenTelemetry, Grafana
Track record of taking over and improving existing production services
Nice to have: experience with identity management protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, or SCIM 2.0
Nice to have: experience designing and evolving domain models for organizational or identity systems
Nice to have: cybersecurity experience, including risk estimation, recognizing vulnerability antipatterns, and promoting best SSDLC practices
Nice to have: hands-on experience with Go
