About the role

  • Assist Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis with forecasting, budgeting, and oversight of business unit
  • Collaborate with Accounting and business units to ensure forecast is accurately aligned to actuals
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual presentations for Senior Departmental leaders
  • Provide data analytics and financial modeling that result in insights for the business
  • Create models to highlight various trends within the business and airline industry
  • Collaborate with others to provide strategic guidance and sound business decision support to cost center leaders through proper financial analysis, collaboration and critical thinking
  • Understand impact of investment decisions on departmental and company-wide financials
  • Update and improve current financial models and databases, including short and long-term forecasts
  • Partner and communicate effectively with different groups and organizational levels across JetBlue
  • Prepares ad hoc reporting and analyses as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • One (1) year of finance and/or analytical experience
  • Experience with or basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Extensive experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with Word and other Microsoft Office Products
  • Demonstrated Excel and financial modeling skills through a live work sample during the hiring process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorized to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
