About the role
- Serve as the first point of contact, establish relationships with all crewmembers and drive change through database insights and influence in support of People Team initiatives and functional strategy.
- Act as a consultant to leadership on all People inquiries and human resources-related policy and procedure interpretation.
- Partner with the Centers of Excellence and leadership on the JetBlue Performance Management program and annual compensation cycle, to ensure decisions are performance based and consistent with talent development goals.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to leadership to increase overall performance, effectiveness, and cohesiveness.
- Deliver People programs, including new leader assimilations, SpeakUp action-planning, succession planning/talent reviews, career conversations, and employee development.
- Recommend appropriate tools to develop and engage leaders, building diverse bench, and assess training needs for teams.
- Execute ongoing performance plan process that supports individual crewmember performance tracking.
- Drive the experience for all crewmembers and ensure behavior of leaders and colleagues fully aligns with culture.
- Drive key communications of relevant human resources (HR) updates, changes, program roll outs, etc. to business leaders.
- Leverage insights from surveys to prioritize actions to improve crewmember experience.
- Manage and develop an effective Business Partner team that collaborates with internal teams and cross-functional partners supporting operational and business goals.
- Serve as trusted advisor to senior leaders, balancing operational needs with a crewmember-centric approach.
- Consults and guides assigned client groups and managers on People issues including interpretation and communication of processes and policies.
- Oversee the local support and rollout of new and annual People programs and policies such as talent management, open enrollment, SpeakUp, and compensation.
- Proactively identify and diagnose people related issues and challenges.
- Provides senior level guidance and advisement to Crewleader and Crewmembers of a workgroup, region, on HR strategies, policies, and programs.
- Manage issues relative to employee engagement, compliance, labor relations; provide high level employee relations and employee life-cycle management through Field team.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders in other functions such as Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Legal.
- Advises and guides crewleaders on the performance management/review process; communicates base and Compensation incentive guidelines and provides guidance.
- Provides guidance and direction to crewleaders on providing effective feedback on employee performance, facilitates discussions regarding feedback.
- Collaborates with crewleaders in support of staffing requirements and leads planning reviews; manages a process to identify high potential annually.
- Demonstrated history of influencing senior level business leaders to adopt best practices in HR, dynamic interpersonal skills including influencing, coaching, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
- Strong analytical and business acumen, with expertise in interpreting business metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience.
- Five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources OR Five (5) years of leadership experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and creatively when resolving issues and concerns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Focus on customer service and working effectively with different people, departments, and levels within the organization.
- Proven ability to influence and drive change with senior leaders in a scaling organization.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
- Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States.
- Available for overnight travel (25%).
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
