About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain business relationships
  • Develop strong working relationships with business unit stakeholders
  • Serve as a responsive, reliable point of contact for your stakeholders
  • Partner closely with the Director of Product to ensure alignment on priorities
  • Lead discovery for assigned initiatives
  • Own the spec library for your portfolio
  • Use AI to accelerate the requirements process
  • Define acceptance criteria and ensure solutions meet business intent
  • Partner with Solution Architects through the delivery cycle
  • Own release communication to your business unit
  • Track adoption metrics post-launch
  • Identify and escalate blockers
  • Maintain a clear, prioritized backlog for your portfolio
  • Communicate prioritization decisions to stakeholders
  • Protect the engineering team from scope creep
  • Use AI tools actively in your daily work
  • Continuously look for ways AI can make you a better, faster product manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–4 years of product management experience in a business-facing, stakeholder-intensive environment
  • Demonstrated use of AI in your product work
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Chicago-based; able to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week
  • Experience working in complex multi-stakeholder environments (strongly preferred)
  • Experience contributing to a spec-driven or AI-assisted delivery model (strongly preferred)
  • Exposure to agile or iterative delivery processes (strongly preferred)
  • People management experience (not required)
  • Aviation or MRO domain experience (not required)
