About the role
- Accurately type and enter prescription data into pharmacy management systems.
- Verify medication names, dosages, and patient information with exceptional accuracy.
- Review handwritten and electronic prescriptions for completeness and compliance.
- Flag discrepancies or missing information to supervising pharmacists.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and data confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate remotely with pharmacists, dispatch, and operations teams to ensure timely order processing.
- Uphold productivity, accuracy, and compliance standards in a fast-paced setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (required)
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and prescription structure
- Typing speed of 60+ WPM with high accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and data verification skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment, aligning with U.S. Pacific Time hours
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, medical transcription, or healthcare documentation role is a plus.
