About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set the technical bar and architecture for chatbot systems
Shape prompt-engineering team priorities while keeping architecture scalable
Build automations for record disputes, email/callout reduction, and document validation
Evaluate emerging AI technologies including voicebots and computer-use agents
Decide which AI investments to pursue and build and ship systems to production
Partner with OpenAI to evaluate and deploy next-generation voice models and workflow automation

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years in software engineering
Ideally experience at an early-stage startup with end-to-end ownership of outcomes
Hands-on depth with AI and ability to evaluate competing architectures or approaches
Experience putting LLM-based systems into production
Experience with evals, regressions, latency, cost, and failure-handling
Experience building with newly released AI models
Proficiency with TypeScript, Nest.js, React, GraphQL, AWS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini
Must currently reside in an eligible location: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
