About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set the technical bar and shape architecture for chatbot systems as they scale
Guide prompt engineering team development while maintaining sound architecture
Build automations for record disputes, email/callout reduction, and document validation
Evaluate emerging AI technologies including voicebots and computer-use agents
Decide which AI technologies to invest in and build and ship them to production
Partner with OpenAI to evaluate and deploy next-generation voice models and workflow automation
Lead development of the next-generation AI system
Expand voicebots into stateful, phone-based interactions
Enable bots to navigate external systems directly to resolve complex issues efficiently and accurately

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years in software engineering
Ideally experience at an early-stage startup with end-to-end ownership of outcomes
Hands-on depth with AI
Experience building with new AI models shortly after release
Ability to explain and evaluate competing AI architectures or approaches
Experience putting LLM-based systems into production
Experience with evaluations, regression handling, latency, cost, and failure-handling
TypeScript, including Nest.js and React
GraphQL
AWS, including ECS/EKS and Lambda
Experience with LLM models such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini
Must currently reside in an eligible location: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Ontario, Canada
