- Guide TRIM notice timing, the 25-day filing window, DR-486 variants, e-filing versus paper, and the §194.014 partial-payment requirement
- Help build hearing and evidence flows involving comparable selection, evidence exchange windows, and condition-based arguments
- Advise the early-stage product team before customer-facing production launch
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of direct, hands-on Florida experience filing residential property tax appeals
- Personal experience filing or arguing petitions before a Florida Value Adjustment Board, or adjudicating them as a special magistrate
- Experience across hundreds of parcels and familiarity with edge cases
- Comprehensive knowledge of every step of the Florida property tax appeals process
- Ability to explain practical operation of Chapter 194, F.S. and DOR uniform rules 12D-9 and 12D-10
- Familiarity with county-level differences in Florida Property Appraiser offices and VABs
- Knowledge of TRIM notice timing, the 25-day filing window, DR-486 and variants, e-filing versus paper, and the §194.014 partial-payment requirement
- Knowledge of hearings, comparable selection, evidence exchange windows, and condition-based arguments
- No active conflict with another company building consumer property tax appeal software
- Florida-based strongly preferred
- Availability for approximately 5–10 hours per week of hourly, as-needed consulting
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
- Must answer whether visa sponsorship is required
