Find bugs, defects, and regressions
Design, implement, execute, and debug test cases and/or automated test scripts
Validate and document completion of testing and development
Verify fixes and help ensure successful releases
Identify opportunities for improving processes, training and tools
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents
Develop testing plans and scenarios in accordance with the technical specifications
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Identify, record, document, and track bugs
Perform regular regression, exploratory and system testing
Monitor and maintain bug backlogs for accuracy
Leverage AI-enabled tools and analytics to enhance decision-making

Requirements

6+ years professional experience
Must have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the product
Must have a technical background to be able to create proper testing scenarios from the functional requirements and detail specifications
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queries
Experience with QA testing on ERP type applications/systems
A thorough understanding of administrative software for higher education and experience with automated testing tools are a plus
Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language a plus
