About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete daily assigned warranty field service tasks
- Take quality photos and produce accurate, complete reports of product and construction issues
- Inspect JELD-WEN window and door products to identify the root cause of service issues
- Perform service work on various JELD-WEN products
- Maintain tools and the service vehicle in proper and safe working order
- Operate a company service vehicle safely and considerately
- Become familiar with all JELD-WEN products in the coverage region
- Follow JELD-WEN policies and procedures while operating safely, professionally, and efficiently
- Report directly to the Field Services Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Weekly travel with some overnight stays and overtime is required
- Flexible working hours
- Live within 20 miles of Pensacola, Florida
- High School Diploma or HSED
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- 5 years of field service technician experience, or experience in the same or similar industry is a plus
- Carpentry skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools and measuring devices
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs., climb, lift, and pull
- Ability to safely perform tasks on a ladder, scaffolding, or other raised devices
- Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices
- Previous construction or similar-environment experience is preferred
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Problem-solving ability
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
