About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

manage and implement all production operations and shop activities
provide direct leadership to Lead employees and their subordinates in production areas
act as a liaison between upper management and hourly employees
supervise all production and production support operations
develop and manage team member’s performance
assure team activities, equipment, facilities, and personnel are maintained per plant production goals
assist in establishing and monitoring overall plant performance for production and quality control standards
provide leadership and training to accomplish plant/company goals
implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs
assist in development and implementation of safety awareness programs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in a related field
1 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the window and door industry
5 to 7 years of applicable work experience (if no degree)
Knowledge of raw materials, preferably for door and window applications
Fundamental knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing process improvement techniques
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem solving skills
Strong team skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic understanding of JELD-WEN’s Mission Statement and overall corporate goals and objectives
