About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventive maintenance on production and automation equipment to ensure smooth operation
- Develop, refine, and document preventive maintenance procedures
- Maintain automation equipment and related machinery according to engineering and design standards
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, mechanical failures, and electrical issues
- Troubleshoot and repair defective circuitry, electronic components, and control circuits
- Install machinery and equipment to support operational improvements
- Utilize machining tools such as mills, lathes, and surface grinders as needed
- Perform welding tasks including MIG and TIG applications
- Use machine data to analyze equipment performance and determine necessary adjustments
- Operate manufacturing equipment and demonstrate knowledge of production processes
- Repair electrical and pneumatic devices and associated systems
- Install and maintain electrical control systems, solid-state equipment, and automation components
- Troubleshoot automation equipment including AC/DC motors, control cabinets, airlines, power supplies, and frequency drives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, positive attitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions
- Proficient in the use of basic power tools (drills, saws, grinders, drill press, pneumatic and hydraulic tools)
- Hands-on experience using voltmeters and other test/measuring equipment
- Proven ability to troubleshoot up to 480V 3-phase equipment and control circuits
- Experience working with PLCs, HMIs, and frequency drive programming
- Strong logical thinking and problem‑solving skills, especially related to automation equipment, wiring, airlines, motors, and control cabinets
