Category Manager
JELD-WEN, Inc.Category Manager leading the management of assigned commodities for Jeld-Wen in North America. Establishing cost reduction and value improvement strategies while managing supplier contracts and performance.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the management of assigned commodities for the North American region
- Establish and implement short and long term strategies for continued cost reduction and value improvement
- Negotiate all major contracts and agreements within the category and deliver the best value to JELD-WEN
- Take ownership of an assigned commodity and deliver on agreed upon KPIs for that category
- Develop and implement approved category strategies that actively search for performance improvement and cost reduction opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of advanced education and/or relevant work experience, or equivalent depth of experience in a sourcing role within a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong background in global sourcing with the ability to negotiate complex contracts and drive value across the supply chain
- 3+ years of experience managing medium-to-large spend portfolios (approximately $50MM+)
- Demonstrated experience with complex contract negotiation
