About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop cloud-native platform foundations on GCP
Create reusable templates for data storage, access control, and environments
Enable self-service onboarding for data teams
Integrate Okta with GCP IAM and Snowflake
Implement SSO, RBAC, and least privilege access
Automate user provisioning and lifecycle management
Implement PII tagging, masking, and column-level security
Work with BigQuery policy tags and Snowflake tagging
Ensure compliance, governance, and auditability
Automate provisioning, access control, and metadata management
Utilize Terraform, Python, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines
Monitor platform usage, access, and data quality
Build alerting, logging, and audit mechanisms

Requirements

What you’ll need

Total 8+ years in Data Engineering or Platform
3+ years in cloud-based data platforms
GCP (BigQuery, GCS, IAM)
Snowflake (RBAC, governance, performance tuning)
BigQuery (policy tags, partitioning, external tables)
Okta (SSO, federation, lifecycle management)
Python, SQL, Terraform
CI/CD tools (Bitbucket preferred)
