Process Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join a dynamic engineering team in the execution of client projects.
- Execute process designs primarily within the consumer products industry.
- Investigation and analysis of data to make sound process design decisions.
- Apply theory in a practical context to determine feasibility of design.
- Identify potential process upsets and malfunctions incorporating appropriate remediations.
- Apply commercially available technology for process execution.
- Maintain professional ethics in the application of codes and standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in the consumer products industry preferred.
- Experience in leading or executing process designs in the form of engineering calculations documented on PFD’s, P&ID’s, general arrangement drawings, specifications, design basis, and associated lists.
- Knowledge of typical chemicals and fluids used in consumer products applications, interactions with materials of construction, and proper design considerations.
- Fluency with AutoCAD and Fathom.
- Understanding of fluid control valves and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with specification and sizing of pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and other process equipment.
- Great customer relationship skills/management experience.
- Preferably on-site, in plant, and startup experience.
