About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as an on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete Electronic Security projects
  • Perform or delegate tasks as required to execute assigned projects including system programming, integration, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout
  • Develop project plans and coordinate required resources for timely and cost-effective installation
  • Provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary
  • Complete typical installation of hardware design and software programming using established standards
  • Manage and complete loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers
  • Validate complete system functionality and resolves issues with subcontractors and others
  • Provide accurate project as-built and commissioning documentation
  • Provide coaching and technical assistance to Security Technicians, Electrical Installers, and others
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements
  • Communicate project status to management and assist with forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin
  • Perform site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system
  • Provide documentation and manuals for system operation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of field experience in the commercial or industrial Electronic Security industry
  • Technical, hands-on experience with systems design, commissioning and/or programming of Electronic Security Systems
  • The ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and general windows environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
