About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as an on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete Electronic Security projects
- Perform or delegate tasks as required to execute assigned projects including system programming, integration, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout
- Develop project plans and coordinate required resources for timely and cost-effective installation
- Provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary
- Complete typical installation of hardware design and software programming using established standards
- Manage and complete loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers
- Validate complete system functionality and resolves issues with subcontractors and others
- Provide accurate project as-built and commissioning documentation
- Provide coaching and technical assistance to Security Technicians, Electrical Installers, and others
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements
- Communicate project status to management and assist with forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin
- Perform site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system
- Provide documentation and manuals for system operation
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of field experience in the commercial or industrial Electronic Security industry
- Technical, hands-on experience with systems design, commissioning and/or programming of Electronic Security Systems
- The ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and general windows environment
- The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
