About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the Boston cohort of the Diller Teen Fellows, including strategic planning, curriculum development, logistics, and quality assurance across all workshops, retreats, and seminars.
  • Lead and mentor 20 program participants, 2 Junior Counselors, and 1 Program Intern/Assistant, cultivating leadership skills and Jewish identity.
  • Manage the annual recruitment, interview, and selection process to identify and enroll participants aligned with program goals.
  • Manage the program budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and accurate financial reporting.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Israeli partner coordinator; co-design and co-lead seminars in the local community and in Israel.
  • Cultivate ongoing relationships with program families and alumni, positioning them as active stakeholders and contributors to the program’s impact.
  • Oversee the design and execution of department initiatives including community service days, social programming, and special workshops.
  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships with schools, synagogues, and communal organizations to enhance program impact and reach.
  • Actively participate in organizational meetings, trainings, and cross-departmental initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Jewish Studies, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in experiential education, program management, and/or group facilitation, with demonstrated growth in scope of responsibility.
  • 3–5 years of experience designing and leading programming focused on Jewish identity development, youth leadership, community service, or Israel education.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered at the JCC’s discretion.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able drive a motor vehicle and to pass a MRV review.
  • Proven ability to build authentic relationships with Jewish teens and deliver programs that integrate Jewish values into compelling, joyful educational experiences.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Israeli culture and history; extended time in Israel and intermediate-level familiarity with Israeli history, politics, and geography strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional project management skills—from concept through execution—with strong attention to detail, deadline management, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills with a demonstrated track record of collaborative partnerships across diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and administrative systems with a high degree of organization and accountability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Canva, and social media platforms.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed; willingness to travel to Israel in the summer and to conferences/trainings throughout the year.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds.
