Night Auditor

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Overseeing the hotel’s front desk operations during the overnight shift.
- Ensuring accuracy of financial records and guest account reconciliations.
- Responding in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests.
- Responsible for the total desk operation and serving as the Manager on Duty during the hours of 11pm and 7am.
- Performing nightly balancing of guest accounts and hotel revenue transactions.
- Reconciling and posting daily room charges, taxes, and other transactions.
- Generating and distributing daily financial and operational reports for hotel management.
- Greeting, checking in, and checking out guests as needed during the overnight shift.
- Responding promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.
- Ensuring safety and security of guests and hotel property during the night.
- Monitoring reservations, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year hotel front desk experience and/or accounting background required.
- Must be able to verbally communicate clearly with guests and fellow employees.
- Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be able to analyze routine data to make appropriate judgements regarding the process of guest check in/check out of the hotel.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
