About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive revenue growth by actively prospecting, developing, and closing new business while maximizing room night production and market share
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, local businesses, and community organizations to increase hotel visibility and repeat business
- Execute strategic sales efforts including outside sales calls, networking, telemarketing, and community engagement to generate new leads and referrals
- Negotiate room rates, contracts, and group business using yield management principles to optimize profitability and align with hotel sales strategies
- Maintain accurate, organized sales systems, including account management, reporting, and follow-up to ensure exceptional client service and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales and cross-functional teams to support overall sales strategy, quarterly action plans, and revenue goals
- Represent the hotel with professionalism and integrity, delivering a service-focused approach that enhances guest satisfaction and brand reputation.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 1+ year of hotel sales experience with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
- Experience with Hyatt systems (Opera, Envision, PrO) and Microsoft Office a plus
- Proven ability to drive sales results through proactive prospecting, relationship-building, and solution-based selling
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a customer-focused mindset
- High level of organization and time management, with the ability to prioritize revenue-generating activities effectively
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships while delivering exceptional service
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a positive, team-oriented attitude and strong sense of accountability.
