About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute disciplined daily outreach to targeted businesses through cold calls, in-person visits, and networking events
- Consistently meet or exceed daily and weekly activity benchmarks designed to drive measurable pipeline growth across the greater Buffalo territory
- Introduce Jani-King's services, ask discovery questions, and determine fit
- Own and manage your assigned territory like a business
- Attend local business events, expos, and chamber of commerce functions across Buffalo to represent Jani-King and generate leads
- Secure qualified, high-value appointments for the sales team
- Accurately document all activity in CRM with accountability to weekly kept and qualified appointment targets
- Maintain detailed records of outreach, conversations, and follow-up strategy
- Develop strong, lasting connections with potential customers through consistent, value-driven communication
- Manage your time, pipeline, and follow-up strategy to hit aggressive appointment and revenue-impact targets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior sales, prospecting, canvassing, or business development experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed activity-based goals and performance metrics (calls, visits, appointments set)
- Comfortable with high-volume cold outreach — both phone and face-to-face
- Strong communication skills with a professional and approachable style
- Proven ability to manage a territory independently and maintain structured daily activity
- Experience using a CRM system to track activity and pipeline performance a plus
- Highly motivated, organized, self-starter with strong follow-through
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance coverage for daily travel
