About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and manage the strategic content calendar across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Meta, planned at least two weeks ahead and synchronized to sprint cycles and campaign schedules
  • Define the social strategy for each platform based on performance data and audience behavior
  • Plan and execute paid social campaigns on Meta, including audience targeting, creative briefing, budget management, and performance optimization
  • Own social analytics and deliver weekly performance reports covering reach, engagement, follower growth, click-through, and conversion to free sessions
  • Monitor trends in the pre-med and medical education space, track competitor channels, and bring emerging ideas to the team
  • Manage community engagement across comments, DMs, and conversation threads on all platforms
  • Maintain consistency in brand tone, visual style, and messaging across channels
  • Track industry voices, key influencers, and community conversations and advise on Jack Westin’s positioning
  • Brief the content and design team on formats, hooks, and platform specifications, translating strategy into production direction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 or more years managing social media for a brand, not just executing someone else’s plan
  • Proven experience running paid Meta campaigns with real budget accountability
  • Strong understanding of each platform’s distinct format requirements and audience expectations
  • Ability to make decisions from data and identify the metrics that matter for each platform
  • Familiarity with the pre-med, MCAT, or broader education space, or ability to become deeply familiar quickly
  • Strong creative judgment when reviewing raw videos, thumbnails, or caption drafts
  • Organization sufficient to manage a multi-channel calendar in a fast-moving environment without losing track of deadlines or deliverables
  • Nice to have: background in MCAT prep, pre-med, or health education
  • Nice to have: experience with influencer and creator partnerships
  • Nice to have: basic video editing skills in CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar
  • Nice to have: experience distributing podcast content across social platforms
