About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead small to medium-sized engineering projects from initiation through completion
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and mitigation plans
Design, develop, and implement automation, controls, manufacturing, and process-improvement solutions
Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and root-cause analyses
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and R&D teams
Support equipment specifications, procurement, installation, validation, and production ramp-up
Prepare project updates, technical reports, design reviews, and status presentations
Identify and resolve technical challenges while minimizing project risks and schedule impacts
Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, safety requirements, and quality systems
Mentor junior engineers and technicians
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction
Support new product introductions, manufacturing transfers, and process optimization efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline
3–5 years of experience in project engineering, automation engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical role
Proven experience managing engineering projects from concept development through implementation and production release
Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and controls systems
Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, industrial networking, motion control, robotics, or machine integration
Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent engineering design tools
Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple priorities
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred: experience in assembly manufacturing, medical devices, or high-volume manufacturing
Preferred: familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
Preferred: experience with equipment validation, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, and process qualification activities
Preferred: knowledge of MES systems, vision systems, robotics, and data acquisition platforms
