About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead small to medium-sized engineering projects from initiation through completion
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and mitigation plans
  • Design, develop, and implement automation, controls, manufacturing, and process-improvement solutions
  • Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and root-cause analyses
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and R&D teams
  • Support equipment specifications, procurement, installation, validation, and production ramp-up
  • Prepare project updates, technical reports, design reviews, and status presentations
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges while minimizing project risks and schedule impacts
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, safety requirements, and quality systems
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction
  • Support new product introductions, manufacturing transfers, and process optimization efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 3–5 years of experience in project engineering, automation engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical role
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects from concept development through implementation and production release
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and controls systems
  • Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, industrial networking, motion control, robotics, or machine integration
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent engineering design tools
  • Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multiple priorities
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Preferred: experience in assembly manufacturing, medical devices, or high-volume manufacturing
  • Preferred: familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Preferred: experience with equipment validation, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, and process qualification activities
  • Preferred: knowledge of MES systems, vision systems, robotics, and data acquisition platforms
