About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

design and develop innovative packaging solutions for new and existing products, considering material properties, manufacturing processes, and shipping requirements
conduct packaging material selection, testing, and qualification to meet performance, cost, and environmental objectives
collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing to integrate packaging into the overall product development lifecycle
develop and maintain packaging specifications, BOMs (Bills of Material), and other relevant documentation
perform root cause analysis of packaging-related issues and implement corrective and preventative actions
optimize packaging designs for cost reduction, improved efficiency, and reduced environmental impact
stay abreast of industry trends, new materials, and technologies in packaging and apply relevant advancements
evaluate and approve packaging designs from suppliers and ensure adherence to Jabil standards
participate in supplier selection and qualification processes for packaging materials and services
support sustainability initiatives by identifying opportunities for eco-friendly packaging solutions
