About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and support high-speed automated assembly systems with throughput rates up to 360 parts per minute
- Troubleshoot and optimize automation equipment to ensure maximum uptime, efficiency, and quality
- Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and new capital installations
- Collaborate with controls engineers, integrators, and maintenance teams on system improvements
- Support automated material handling systems including robotics, AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) , and conveyor systems
- Work with quality and controls teams to maintain and improve inspection accuracy and reliability
- Provide hands-on engineering support to production operations
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), RCA (Root Cause Analysis)
- Analyze process data to identify trends and drive improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5 years minimum experience with automated manufacturing systems and equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical design, materials, and industrial systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and automation-related issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
