Business Unit Director – Medical Devices
JabilBusiness Unit Director leading medical device customer accounts and operational strategy. Focused on growth, P&L responsibility, and senior stakeholder relationships in a global context.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own full global P&L responsibility for assigned customer account(s), including revenue growth, margin, and overall financial performance
- Develop and execute the customer relationship strategy and long-term roadmap
- Identify and drive organic growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Lead pricing strategy, including materials and value-add components, to ensure competitiveness and profitability
- Serve as the primary executive point of contact, building trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders
- Negotiate and manage contracts, including amendments and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to ensure successful delivery and issue resolution
- Own execution of SLAs, including performance management and escalation handling
- Lead and support RFP processes, including solution development and customer presentations
- Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, operational performance, and key business metrics
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and participate in strategic planning initiatives
- Manage and develop a team of 4 Senior/Business Unit Managers, ensuring alignment to customer needs and business objectives
- Build and foster a high-performing, customer-focused team environment
- Demonstrate entrepreneurial leadership with a focus on growth, innovation, and accountability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field)
- 12–15 years of experience in regulated manufacturing operations (medical device or similar industry like automotive, aerospace/defense, etc.)
- Prior P&L ownership or financial accountability preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of people leadership experience
- Strong background in customer-facing roles within complex manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and commercial strategy
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth and manage strategic accounts
- Strong financial acumen, including pricing, margin management, and business analytics
- Experience working cross-functionally across operations, supply chain, and engineering teams
- Excellent communication and executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Global business experience and understanding of supply chain, logistics, and regulatory environments.
