About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute strategic operational excellence roadmaps tailored to Jabil's US growth initiatives
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, 5S, Six Sigma projects, and other lean manufacturing/business process improvement activities across multiple sites
  • Identify, analyze, and quantify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, quality improvement, and waste elimination
  • Mentor, train, and coach employees at all levels on operational excellence principles, tools, and methodologies
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and report progress to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality, to implement sustainable solutions
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making
  • Conduct root cause analysis for operational challenges and develop corrective and preventive actions
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in operational excellence and lean methodologies
  • Manage project portfolios, ensuring timely completion and achievement of desired outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operational excellence, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or directorial capacity
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing large-scale operational excellence programs across multiple sites or business units
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification required; Master Black Belt preferred
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of lean principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., VSM, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, SMED, Poka-Yoke)
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, foster collaboration, and build high-performing teams
  • Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools
  • Ability to travel frequently within the US (up to 50-75%)
