About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop local plant sites teams of manufacturing engineers and engineering managers across various US-based large factor assembly sites.
- Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for large factor assembly.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, lean manufacturing initiatives, and technological advancements.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for complex manufacturing issues.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for facility layout, design, and infrastructure development.
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and optimization of large-scale assembly equipment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in assembly processes.
- Manage capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong focus on large factor assembly processes.
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role.
- Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automation solutions.
- Experience with NPI and DFM in a high-volume, complex assembly environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials relevant to large factor assembly.
- Ability to travel frequently across US manufacturing sites.
