About the role

  • Perform origin qualifications and determinations in accordance with Mexico's Free Trade Agreements (USMCA, EU-Mexico, CPTPP, among others).
  • Conduct substantial transformation analyses to determine country of origin for customs and trade remedy purposes.
  • Analyze and apply US trade remedies, including Section 301.
  • Manage and support IMMEX program compliance, including procedures and fillings before the Mexican Ministry of Economy.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on operation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to trade compliance.
  • Support risk assessments and implementation of corrective actions when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in International business, international Trade Customs or a related field
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Trade Compliance or international Trade Operations
  • Strong Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements applicable to Mexico
  • Rules of origin verification processes.
  • US Section 301 Substantial Transformation criteria
