About the role
- Perform origin qualifications and determinations in accordance with Mexico's Free Trade Agreements (USMCA, EU-Mexico, CPTPP, among others).
- Conduct substantial transformation analyses to determine country of origin for customs and trade remedy purposes.
- Analyze and apply US trade remedies, including Section 301.
- Manage and support IMMEX program compliance, including procedures and fillings before the Mexican Ministry of Economy.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on operation.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to trade compliance.
- Support risk assessments and implementation of corrective actions when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International business, international Trade Customs or a related field
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Trade Compliance or international Trade Operations
- Strong Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements applicable to Mexico
- Rules of origin verification processes.
- US Section 301 Substantial Transformation criteria
