About the role
- Ensures compliance with International Trade Regulations applicable to Mexico
- Performs origin qualifications and determinations in accordance with Mexico's Free Trade Agreements
- Conducts substantial transformation analyses
- Analyzes and applies US trade remedies
- Manages and supports IMMEX program compliance
- Monitors regulatory changes and assesses their impact
- Participates in internal and external audits related to trade compliance
- Supports risk assessments and implements corrective actions when needed
Requirements
- Barchelor's degree in International business, international Trade Customs or a related field
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken)
- Minimum 2 -3 years of experience in Trade Compliance or international Trade Operations
- Strong Knowledge of: Free Trade Agreements applicable to Mexico, Rules of origin verification processes, US Section 301, Substantial Transformation criteria
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Experience in manufacturing or maquiladora environments (preferred)
- Familiarity with customs audits and origin verifications (preferred)
- Attention to details and strong compliance mindset.
